In a sign that music creation is getting more digitally based than ever, a company who has made high tech audio mixers for the music industry for years has recently introduced a complex mixer that actually runs through the power of an iPad. The company believes that music mixing will be quite changed by the addition of this particular machine into the industry and has already been responsible for offering some of the highest and audio mixers to members of the industry in the past.
It would seem that the company is trying to appeal to the technophile nature of music mixing artists who love getting their hands on the newest technology whenever they can. The machine apparently utilizes high end hardware components that are already in use in many of the company’s standard mixing machines but the software within the machine is quite different than what has been used in the past and this is what makes it so advanced. Apparently the touch screen capability of the iPad significantly comes into play within controls of the device.
One of the interesting aspects of the machine is that it apparently will support up to ten different iPads all mixing simultaneously. The device currently costs around a thousand dollars and is likely to be available in the late spring from the company to the general public. So far the device has only been on preview for a very few number of members of the music mixing community and only a few promotional spots have been created on the internet.
